Terms Of Service

Terms of Service — SingleBuck Sites

Effective Date: October 1, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of SingleBuck.com, including free websites, accounts, subdomains, tools, and related services provided by SingleBuck Technologies (“SingleBuck,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

By creating an account, creating a website, or otherwise using SingleBuck.com, you agree to these Terms.

1. The SingleBuck Sites Service

SingleBuck.com provides users with tools to create and operate WordPress-based websites, including free websites hosted on a SingleBuck.com subdomain such as:

yourname.singlebuck.com

Free websites may remain available at no charge for as long as the service is offered and the website remains in compliance with these Terms and our Free Website & Acceptable Use Policy.

SingleBuck may also offer optional paid services, including custom domains, additional hosting resources, email, website services, maintenance, and other upgrades through SingleBuck Technologies or SingleBuck.ca.

You are never required to purchase a paid service solely because you created a free website.

2. SingleBuck.com Subdomains

A free website address provided under SingleBuck.com is a subdomain made available for use as part of the SingleBuck Sites service.

Creating or using a subdomain does not transfer ownership of SingleBuck.com, any portion of the SingleBuck.com domain, or any domain-registration rights to you.

SingleBuck Technologies retains ownership and administrative control of the SingleBuck.com domain and its DNS infrastructure.

While your account remains active and compliant with these Terms, you may use the assigned subdomain for your website.

We reserve the right to reject, suspend, rename, reclaim, or disable a subdomain where reasonably necessary because of abuse, infringement, impersonation, security concerns, legal obligations, technical requirements, or violations of these Terms.

3. Your Website and Content

You retain ownership of the original content you create and upload to your website.

You grant SingleBuck a limited permission to host, store, transmit, back up, display, and technically process that content as necessary to operate and support the service.

You are responsible for ensuring that content you publish:

  • belongs to you or you have permission to use it;
  • complies with applicable laws;
  • does not infringe intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights;
  • complies with our Free Website & Acceptable Use Policy.

SingleBuck does not claim ownership of your website content merely because it is hosted on our systems.

4. Accounts and Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for activity conducted through your account.

You agree to provide accurate information where requested and to take reasonable steps to protect your account.

If you believe your account has been compromised, contact SingleBuck promptly.

We may use automated systems, security tools, rate limits, spam protection, or other safeguards to protect SingleBuck.com and websites hosted through the service.

5. Free Service Limits

Free websites may be subject to reasonable technical limits, including limits relating to:

  • storage;
  • bandwidth or system resources;
  • uploads;
  • email functionality;
  • plugins or themes;
  • administrative features;
  • automated processes;
  • other features necessary to maintain a stable shared service.

Applicable limits may be displayed on SingleBuck.com, within your account, or in service documentation.

We may adjust reasonable limits as the platform develops, particularly where required for security, stability, abuse prevention, or fair allocation of shared resources.

6. WordPress, Plugins and Third-Party Services

SingleBuck Sites uses WordPress and may include software, themes, plugins, integrations, or services supplied by third parties.

Those products may be governed by their own licenses and terms.

SingleBuck does not guarantee that every third-party plugin, theme, integration, or external service will remain compatible or continuously available.

7. Upgrading Your Website

You may choose to upgrade a free website to an eligible paid SingleBuck service.

An upgrade may provide features such as a custom domain, additional resources, hosting services, email, support, maintenance, or other services depending on the selected plan.

Purchases made through SingleBuck.ca or another SingleBuck checkout may also be subject to the applicable SingleBuck Technologies Terms of Service, billing terms, and other policies presented during purchase.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, upgrading does not require deleting or rebuilding your existing website.

8. Prohibited Use

You may not use SingleBuck.com or a SingleBuck-hosted website to:

  • distribute malware or malicious code;
  • conduct phishing, fraud, scams, or credential theft;
  • send unsolicited bulk messages or spam;
  • attack, probe, overload, or interfere with systems or networks;
  • impersonate another person or organization deceptively;
  • violate applicable law;
  • infringe intellectual-property rights;
  • circumvent security or resource restrictions;
  • use the service in a manner that materially harms other users or the platform.

Additional requirements are contained in our Free Website & Acceptable Use Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

9. Suspension and Termination

SingleBuck may temporarily restrict or suspend a website or account when reasonably necessary to:

  • investigate suspected abuse;
  • address security threats;
  • comply with legal requirements;
  • prevent harm to the platform or other users;
  • enforce these Terms.

For serious or repeated violations, we may terminate the affected account or website.

Where reasonably practical and appropriate, we may provide notice or an opportunity to correct an issue before permanent termination. Immediate action may be taken where required for security, abuse prevention, legal compliance, or protection of others.

10. Backups and Data

SingleBuck may maintain backups or recovery systems as part of operating the platform; however, unless a specific service expressly includes a backup guarantee, users should maintain copies of content that is important to them.

No hosting platform can guarantee against every form of data loss.

11. Service Changes and Availability

We work to keep SingleBuck Sites available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.

Maintenance, updates, outages, security incidents, third-party failures, or circumstances outside our reasonable control may occasionally affect availability.

SingleBuck may modify, improve, replace, or discontinue features of the free service.

If SingleBuck were to discontinue the free website service entirely, we would make reasonable efforts to provide affected users with notice and information about available options where practicable.

12. No Guarantee of Results

SingleBuck does not guarantee that creating a website will result in traffic, search-engine placement, sales, revenue, customers, or any other particular outcome.

You remain responsible for the operation, content, promotion, and business activities associated with your website.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, SingleBuck.com and its services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

SingleBuck Technologies will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from use of the service, including loss of data, revenue, business opportunity, or website availability, except where liability cannot legally be excluded.

Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot be waived under applicable law.

14. Privacy

Our collection and use of personal information is governed by the SingleBuck.com Privacy Policy.

Our use of cookies and similar technologies is described in the SingleBuck.com Cookie Policy.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms when the service, applicable law, security requirements, or our business practices change.

The current version will be published on SingleBuck.com with an updated effective or revision date.

Continued use of the service after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms, subject to applicable law.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the applicable laws of Canada and the Province of Nova Scotia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
