Free Website & Acceptable Use Policy
Free Website & Acceptable Use Policy
Effective Date: October 1, 2026
This Free Website & Acceptable Use Policy (“Policy”) applies to websites, accounts, subdomains, content, and services provided through SingleBuck.com and SingleBuck Sites.
This Policy forms part of the SingleBuck.com Terms of Service. By creating or using a SingleBuck Site, you agree to comply with this Policy.
SingleBuck Technologies (“SingleBuck,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides SingleBuck Sites so individuals, creators, small businesses, organizations, and other users can establish a website without needing to purchase hosting or a domain before getting started.
We want the service to remain useful, safe, reliable, and available to everyone. These rules exist to protect users, visitors, infrastructure, and the SingleBuck platform.
1. Free Website Service
Eligible users may create a website using a SingleBuck.com subdomain such as:
yourname.singlebuck.com
A free website may remain available without a recurring hosting charge while:
- the SingleBuck Sites service continues to be offered;
- the account remains in good standing;
- the website complies with this Policy and our Terms of Service;
- the website remains within applicable technical and resource limits.
There is no requirement to upgrade simply because you use the free service.
Optional paid services may be available through SingleBuck.ca, including custom domains, additional hosting resources, email, maintenance, website services, and other upgrades.
2. Your SingleBuck.com Subdomain
The subdomain assigned to your site is made available for use as part of SingleBuck Sites.
For example:
mybusiness.singlebuck.com
does not represent ownership or registration of singlebuck.com or any portion of that domain.
SingleBuck retains ownership and administrative control of SingleBuck.com and its DNS infrastructure.
Users may not sell, transfer, lease, sublicense, or otherwise represent a SingleBuck.com subdomain as an independently owned domain name.
We may reject, reserve, rename, reclaim, suspend, or remove a subdomain where reasonably necessary because of:
- impersonation;
- trademark or intellectual-property concerns;
- misleading or deceptive use;
- security issues;
- technical requirements;
- abuse;
- legal obligations;
- violation of this Policy.
3. Your Content
You are responsible for content you upload, publish, distribute, or make available through your website.
You must have the legal right to use the content you publish.
SingleBuck does not claim ownership of original content merely because that content is hosted through SingleBuck Sites.
You are responsible for ensuring that your website and content comply with applicable laws and the rights of others.
4. Illegal or Harmful Activity
You may not use SingleBuck Sites for illegal activity or to facilitate illegal activity.
Prohibited uses include, but are not limited to:
- fraud or scams;
- phishing;
- identity theft;
- credential theft;
- distribution of malware;
- ransomware;
- malicious scripts;
- unauthorized access to systems or accounts;
- trafficking in stolen information;
- promotion or facilitation of illegal goods or services;
- activity intended to defraud or deliberately harm another person.
5. Malware, Hacking, and Security Abuse
SingleBuck Sites may not be used to:
- distribute viruses, malware, trojans, ransomware, spyware, or other malicious software;
- host malicious downloads;
- conduct denial-of-service attacks;
- scan or probe systems without authorization;
- exploit software vulnerabilities;
- operate command-and-control infrastructure;
- collect passwords or credentials deceptively;
- bypass access controls;
- compromise another website, server, service, or account.
Security research must not be conducted against SingleBuck systems without prior authorization.
6. Spam and Abusive Messaging
You may not use SingleBuck Sites to send or facilitate unsolicited bulk communications.
This includes:
- email spam;
- mass unsolicited messaging;
- deceptive marketing campaigns;
- comment spam;
- automated contact-form abuse;
- campaigns designed primarily to redirect visitors to spam or fraudulent websites.
Users must comply with applicable laws governing commercial electronic messages.
7. Intellectual Property
You may not knowingly use SingleBuck Sites to publish or distribute content that infringes another person’s copyright, trademark, or other intellectual-property rights.
Examples include unauthorized distribution of:
- copyrighted movies;
- television programs;
- music;
- software;
- books;
- photographs;
- paid courses;
- digital products;
- pirated applications;
- counterfeit materials.
If we receive a credible infringement complaint, we may investigate and may temporarily disable affected material while the issue is reviewed.
Repeated infringement may result in suspension or termination.
8. Impersonation and Deceptive Websites
You may not create a site that falsely represents itself as another person, company, organization, government body, financial institution, or service.
You may not use SingleBuck Sites to create:
- fake login pages;
- deceptive payment pages;
- fraudulent support pages;
- counterfeit stores;
- misleading identity-verification pages;
- websites intended to deceive visitors about who operates them.
Parody, commentary, criticism, and fan sites may be permitted where they are lawful and are not presented deceptively as the official website of another person or organization.
9. Harassment and Abuse
You may not use SingleBuck Sites primarily to:
- threaten another person;
- encourage targeted harassment;
- publish private information for the purpose of causing harm;
- stalk or intimidate individuals;
- coordinate malicious harassment campaigns.
Legitimate criticism, commentary, reviews, journalism, satire, and discussion are not prohibited merely because someone finds them negative or disagreeable.
10. Sexual and Exploitative Content
SingleBuck Sites may not be used to host or distribute:
- child sexual abuse material;
- sexual content involving minors;
- non-consensual intimate imagery;
- sexual exploitation;
- content promoting sexual violence or coercion;
- material published for the purpose of sexually humiliating or exploiting another person.
SingleBuck may also restrict sexually explicit or pornographic content on the free hosting service where necessary for legal compliance, service-provider requirements, advertising requirements, security, or operation of the shared platform.
11. Hate and Violent Extremism
SingleBuck Sites may not be used primarily to promote or organize violence against people based on protected characteristics or to operate on behalf of organizations legally designated as terrorist or extremist organizations.
Educational, historical, journalistic, documentary, or critical discussion of such subjects may be permitted where the purpose is not promotion or recruitment.
12. Dangerous or Violent Activity
Users may not use SingleBuck Sites to make credible threats of violence or to facilitate serious criminal harm.
Content discussing violence in news, fiction, education, history, gaming, entertainment, or other legitimate contexts is not prohibited solely because violent subjects are discussed.
13. Resource Abuse
Free hosting is provided through shared infrastructure.
Users may not intentionally consume unreasonable system resources or operate services that interfere with other SingleBuck users.
Prohibited or restricted activities may include:
- cryptocurrency mining;
- continuous high-load computing;
- unauthorized proxy or VPN services;
- file-storage services intended primarily for mass distribution;
- automated scraping infrastructure;
- high-volume bots or crawlers;
- excessive background processes;
- resource-intensive applications unsuitable for shared hosting;
- attempts to circumvent storage, bandwidth, CPU, memory, or other service limits.
Where practical, we may contact a user before taking action where ordinary site growth rather than deliberate abuse causes excessive resource use.
14. File Hosting and Downloads
SingleBuck Sites is intended primarily for websites.
The service may not be used principally as:
- a remote file-storage service;
- a software mirror;
- a video-download repository;
- a backup-storage platform;
- a mass file-distribution network.
Normal website files, downloadable documents, photographs, media, and other reasonable website content are permitted subject to applicable limits.
15. Automated Activity
Automated tools must not be used in a manner that disrupts the platform.
SingleBuck may restrict:
- excessive automated requests;
- scraping;
- bots;
- scheduled jobs;
- API activity;
- automated publishing;
- processes that create unreasonable server load.
Legitimate WordPress scheduling, search-engine crawling, integrations, and ordinary website automation are generally permitted where they operate within reasonable resource limits.
16. Plugins, Themes, and Custom Code
SingleBuck may restrict or disable a plugin, theme, script, or other software where it:
- creates a security risk;
- causes serious performance problems;
- conflicts with platform infrastructure;
- is known to contain malicious code;
- attempts to bypass platform restrictions;
- adversely affects other users.
Where possible, we may provide an opportunity to replace or correct problematic software.
17. Security Updates and Platform Management
SingleBuck may perform technical actions necessary to protect the service.
These actions may include:
- updating WordPress;
- applying security patches;
- disabling compromised software;
- restricting malicious traffic;
- blocking abusive IP addresses;
- changing server configuration;
- limiting dangerous functionality;
- temporarily placing a site into maintenance or restricted mode.
We may take immediate action where waiting could place users, visitors, or infrastructure at risk.
18. Resource and Feature Limits
Free websites may have limits relating to:
- storage;
- bandwidth;
- uploads;
- CPU or memory usage;
- databases;
- email;
- plugins;
- themes;
- automation;
- backups;
- administrative features;
- other shared resources.
Current limits may be displayed on SingleBuck.com, within your account, or in service documentation.
SingleBuck may reasonably modify free-service limits as the platform develops.
We will not intentionally reduce a paid service entitlement through this Policy where different terms have been promised as part of a paid plan.
19. Inactive or Abandoned Websites
SingleBuck may identify websites that appear to have been abandoned or unused for an extended period.
If SingleBuck introduces an inactivity or deletion policy, the applicable period and process will be disclosed before websites are removed solely because of inactivity.
We will not treat temporary low traffic by itself as evidence that a website has been abandoned.
This section is deliberately written without a fixed inactivity period until SingleBuck publishes one.
20. Upgrading a Free Website
Users may choose to upgrade to an eligible SingleBuck paid service.
Depending on the service selected, an upgrade may provide:
- use of a custom domain;
- additional storage or resources;
- email services;
- additional administrative capabilities;
- website maintenance;
- enhanced support;
- other paid features.
Unless otherwise stated, upgrading does not require the user to rebuild their existing website.
The free SingleBuck.com subdomain may continue to exist, redirect, or be retired depending on the selected upgrade and the user’s configuration.
21. Reporting Abuse
If you believe a SingleBuck Site is being used for:
- phishing;
- malware;
- fraud;
- infringement;
- impersonation;
- illegal activity;
- security abuse;
- another serious violation of this Policy,
you may report the site to:
SingleBuck Technologies
Email: support@singlebuck.ca
Please provide the affected website address and enough information for us to understand the concern.
We may request additional information where necessary to investigate a report.
22. Enforcement
SingleBuck may investigate suspected violations of this Policy.
Depending on the seriousness and circumstances, we may:
- issue a warning;
- request that content be removed;
- restrict functionality;
- disable a plugin or script;
- temporarily suspend a website;
- temporarily suspend an account;
- permanently terminate a website or account;
- preserve relevant information where legally required;
- report serious unlawful activity where required by law.
We do not have to use every enforcement step or apply them in a particular order.
Serious security threats, phishing, malware, fraud, exploitation, or other dangerous activity may result in immediate suspension.
23. Appeals and Mistakes
We recognize that automated systems, abuse reports, or enforcement decisions can sometimes be incorrect.
If you believe your website or account has been restricted by mistake, you may contact SingleBuck and request a review.
We may ask for information necessary to investigate the issue.
24. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy as SingleBuck Sites develops, new forms of abuse emerge, technical requirements change, or applicable laws and service-provider requirements change.
The current version will be published on SingleBuck.com with an updated effective or revision date.
